Childhood

She brings me back to the moment of forty years ago when she was still a little girl.

That was a cottage where her family lived. At this time of year birds from other places flight here to nest. She was attracted when saw them making home, living and having offsprings. Have you ever seen a little bird learning how to fly? Never do I see that but she did. The bird  would cling to its baby then spanned the wings and flight, baby birds were trying to do the same as their parents although they are still held tighly. She said ‘ if the baby can fly nothing’s gonna happen but if they fail and fall down, they will die’. I  wonder why  the others  bird didn’t  save them but it’s just instinct for survival.

Not very long later early rains came brought gusty winds.Row of coconut palms swayed strongly in the wind, those nests dropped continually. Poor little bird they lost their mom and dad.

The girl is my mother when she was about eitght years old. Every summer whenever flamboyants start to show their scarlet petals and the drizzle rains comes, mom always stands there right by side the window looking out to find something, maybe a part of beautiful memories of an unforgetable time. Today she told the a part of it, the one that you can’t find in this morden life.

@Ha: Thanks a lot Ha :-) this is my first time i write a blog, i'm very happy to hear that. Mom's stories always give me an inspiration to make up. I'll try my best to write other interesting stories and of course happier than this one :-)
