CAN I BE YOU?

CAN I BE YOU?

“Who would you like to be if you could be someone else in EC?” That’s what came in my mind when……… Oh, sorry, I don’t know exactly when.

First of all, I thought about being the BOSS! Yeah, Mr. Essberger. But then I thought if I were Mr. Essberger, then almost everybody would just comment for me, “Sir, thank you for this.” Or “Sir, thank you for that.” Or “Sir, thank you for both of them.” Or something which almost has “Thank you.” And it makes you feel bored somehow, you know? I think Mr. Essberger is a real imaginative, kind, and patient(!) person. Sir, thank you for that!!!

Then I thought that it can be good to be Tara Benwell. She is really great in English. And she has a T-shirt with EC logo. I like to have one of them. And she is so nice; everybody says that. But then I remembered a writing challenge when Tara told us to write a [2-lines] terrifying story. But then almost 90% of members –including me, myself! – wrote [more-than-2-lines] terrifying story!!! If I were her, I know that I really was not able to say, “For goodness sake! Which part of g…d…a…m… “[2-lines] terrifying story” was not clear enough? (fill in the blanks!!!)” I really was not able to say that. That’s really rude!

Then I thought how about to be MARY? Then I can use Sarah Andersen’s drawings in my blogs. They are really funny, but if “I” use them, it won’t be funny anymore! And I can also write other members’ names in red letters and when others click on the red names, they will go to those members’ pages. That’s really especial, I think. But, there is a problem; MARY has a great sense of humor. I really can’t be like her. If I were her, the other members would miss the real MARY a lot.

Then I thought of dara gino. He is good in so many languages. But then I remembered that he is the only one who comments on my blogs a lot. If I were him, then almost nobody would comment for me! No, no, no… I don’t want to lose this loyal friend. I don’t.

At last I figured out I just like to be myself. Then I’ll just write some nonsense blogs! Then just a few people comment on them. Then I won’t be obsessed by “How to give different responses to the comments when you have more than 10 comment?”  Because when you have more than 10 comments (which is a scarce occasion!), they can be really alike. Something like this…

A: Nice written, X. You are right. Sometimes people treat to me like that. Too.

X: Thanks for your comment, A. I know that. Yeah.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

B: Well done, X. That sometimes happens to me, too.

X: Thanks a lot for your comment, B. Yeah, you’re right.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

C: Good job, X. That happens to me a lot!

X: Thanks so much for your comment, C. I see that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

X: In advance, thank you so much for your comment, D!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have fun guys :)

And yeah... you made good conclusions, I think. And one other thing... you reminded me this one word "unique." I've just learned this word and I think it's a beautiful word. Have a field day :)

Mishaikh, yeah. Who knows what tomorrow holds? Thanks, champ.

  • Just be yourself.  May be one day others will be thinking to be like you.

  • Some members here are so fluent in English, I don't mention their names, but I wish I could be as fluent as them in English.

  • Everyone is unique, so if we try to be like others two things will happen; first we will lose the opportunity of being unique and special and second we will be a copy of someone else that we already have one. So it's better to be ourselves.
Dear Behrad, sometimes when I read a post I feel like I have no idea so I just press the like button but sometimes it's not enough so I write well done or great job and I mean it. Anyway thanks for your nice post.
