Hello Guys,
I wonder if anybody of you has heard about "The Brexit" in News? I also wonder if you usually listen to MyEC Weekly News here in My English Club?
Come on, Don't be shy :D :D
As to myself, I don't usually listen to EC News. and I don't know many terms regarding the news..
I have just heard the term "Brexit" recently, and I like to share it here with my friends in EC.
What is Brexit?
Brexit is a new term which was added recently to English Language following Britain's withdrawal form European Union.
For more information and for the sources of my this blog, please visit the below links, and share us with your newly learnt terms, and more especially regarding the News Terms.

many thinks to your views which enrich the conversation... yes, I think it's complicated.. As non-European citizen, I can not also support or object... I can only wish you a fruitful future with your nice way of thinking about your own countries..
Thanks for passing by, ladies and gentlemen..
For me, wise citizens are not those who are carried along with demagogy policy wich sell hopes, protection or claims ignoring the reality and I think this is what surely is happening with Trump although not only there since it's also happening in Spain and perhaps has also happened with brexit.
LUCInka,
Please, do you notice you have just said very discrepant two things in your below comment...
Well, MARY and LUCInka,
To be honest I can not say I am very sure about my opinion, but at least for the time being, this is what I am convinced of...
I can understand that manipulation and deceive are real problems about what I am suggesting.. This exists everywhere and at every time.. and we can not easily get rid of these problems especially when we are talking about political type of works...
but still can not accept that a vote of someone who is well-educated and well-aware is equal to the vote of some other one who is naive and low-educated.. I believe that especially such a critical decision must be studied very well and evaluated by expert range of people.. let's say universities or scholars rather than rotten politicians...
I think you all have seen this photo in internet. So, if you just can think about it in a similar way , you could understand the idea that I am trying to say...
Anyway, I will repeat again that I can not be very sure of my opinion either.. because, still the principle of reproducing new dictatorships and manipulation is available about what I say ..
Let me just dream about something ideal and free of any deceive or manipulation to be expertly responsible of making such big decisions in these times...
So you don't support a real democracy, but a controlled (and manipulated) democracy. Again, I think the problem is not letting people to vote. Or wait... maybe that's what we should think? Maybe there are interests that want to instill on ppl's mind that is better if people can't decide? Uhm... We'll see. Time will tell....
The problem is not that people are stupid. The problem is that everything is being controlled and manipulated by interests that we can't still get to know now, but we will...
And don't fool yourself: Markets rule EVERYTHING and politicians are just their puppets. What is good for the maket is bad for the ordinary people. For people like you and me. Markets just make the rich richer.
Let's see who gets money with this and we'll see who's the responsible of what's going on now.
And... away from our serious opinions...
I would like to share some jokes about Brexit with you here... hope you enjoy them.. and hope you can also share us with your jokes, if you have any :D
well Estanis & MARY,
Having a variety of your opinions is pushing me seriously to announce a similar referendum about do you support Brexit or not; and if not, what do you think are the responsibilities of governments in similar situations like these...
To be honest, I still think that people shouldn't take such decisions, since such decisions require a certain amount of studies of the pros and cos, and serious evaluation of the requirements of each step.. I totally agree that strength comes in numbers.. So, it's sad, as I was mentioning from the beginning..
All the best for European Citizens on their EU's future.. And thanks to your variety which enriches this positive debate :)
Luckily or unluckily market rules everything and we'd better flowing with it for the citizen's wellfare. Corruption and inmoral people is other story. Would it be better an anarchy?
I guess Cameron will be judged by history for starting the collapse of the "United" Kingdom. It's not weird that Scotland and others want to belong to the E.U.
Anyway, in my opinion old nostalgic people make sense voting for brexit but Not in young openminded generations since it's really comfortable traveling with no passports, same currency, less bureaucracy...
As you mentioned, inmigration has been a decisive factor although U.K. has not the heaviest burden but the whole Europe. If we close our frontiers is bad, if we allow inmigrants coming is worse. Any idea?
Strength comes in numbers, and mostly in this globalised world.
AG, think about this:
Imagine your country is ruled by that "committee of the wisest people of the nation" as you said. What do I care if they are the 'wisest' if they have deals with oil companies, bankers, mafia, or whatever economic interest? Is not about being ruled by the smartest people. Is about being ruled by decent people. People who cares about people, not about the f***ing market.
A country should be ruled by their citizens. No by the market.
And governments should never lie to their citizens. But politicians knows pretty well that "If you can't convince them, confuse them".
