Gratefully having gained this term quite recently from Paula I enjoy the imagination of the sound.

BOP to me sounds as if the head contains grey mass. The grey mass softens the acoustic noise.

in case there is no grey mass but an empty room the acoustic noise rather would sound DOOOOONG.

lol what vivid languages can be.

  • Hi Zivi!
I think, here in Ukraine we say something like "bah" instead of bop.
  • oops, just came tio mind: there is a city in Germany named "BOPPARD". lol I wonder how they trat foreigners there :-D

  • lol zzina, be considerate of me like Paula and use soft bats only.

  • Lol Paula, thanks for using soft bats. Though your lolling somehow makes your claim a bit suspect :-! As if you also had options . rofl

  • I always use a very soft bat when I bop anyone on the head......LOL!!!!!
  • LOL Ziv!!!! Bopping you on the head!!!! always gently.......with a soft bat......!!!!
  • Thanks, Zivi, no, i will not bop on your head as you were helpful!

  • Hi bet, to "bop someone on the head" has the meaning of smashing someone a fist or even a racket or something on the head. It is a colloquial way to say someone punished another one for a misbehave or even worse. It can be used in an offensive way as well as a funny reply to someone another one was teasing. As in many sayings the stress of such a term depends a bit on the situation.

For instance: I started teasing you and you didn´t find my teasing funny you might say: Stop your rubbish or I will bop you on the head.

Hope the example pleases you. If not, please, notify me by bopping me on the head :-D.

Thank you for your comment :-)

  • Then give some examples with this Bop, please, I mean how to make sentences.
