Bath vs Bathe

Yesterday I was helping my kid with her study. Then I found these two different words like breath and breathe. I faced trouble to make her understand. Actually how can I describe? Should I say one is noun and another one is verb, don't know.Well, Animals need water to drink and bathe. And, people in sub-tropical area like to take bath with cold water. Do you bathe( here which one?) your pets regularly? In our villages, people like to bathe in the ponds. And, in the cities people take bath at bathrooms.
