I am posting 15 sentences containting phrasal verbs with omited prepositions. So, your task is to find the correct prepositions without looking up your smart books and without googling. We have already considered some of these verbs in my previous blogs, but only some.

10. We speak about some moving vehicle. The noise of its engine becomes softer to our ear as it moves away. The longer the distance between that noisy vehicle and a person is, the softer the sound of its engine is. Describing the dying sound, we can also say DIE DOWN, but mostly about immovable objects. For example, your car alarm suddenly went off at night. For it to die down you should get out of your bed and go out to turn it off.
13. When you invest your money in some business, it is IN business. And one day you want to have that money back, in fact, to take it out of business. That is why, the correct preposition is OUT.

1. In many phrasal verbs UP is used to show that an action was finished or closed or there is no possibility to go on doing the same. For expample:
to drink up (your glass is empty, there is nothing more to drink)
to come up (to come very close, you can't move ahead)
to break up (to break into very small pieces) and so on.
So, this sentence means that the government bought up all grains and no one esle will/would be able to buy it from the farmers.
3. DOWN is wrong if we speak about pants. As to jeans, some people wear the same pair for so long that the jeans become transparent on the knees. What preposition will you use describing such a pair?
10. OUT is wrong. We speak about some moving vehicle. The noise of its engine becomes softer for our ear as it moves away.
