Most people want others to comment on their blogs. When they finish and publish a blog, they will be expecting some comments on it. Usually, they expect something positive, encouraging or inspiriting. They check their blogs frequently to see if there are any comments and they'll do so first thing the next day. If there is no comment, they will feel a little frustrated or even sad. Anyway, they write blogs to express their ideas, thoughts or opinion and communicate with other people. With that in mind, people usually make an effort and try to comment on other people's blogs.
On the other hand, some people don't care whether their blog gets comments or not - they just keep writing. Even when their blog gets comments, they won't respond or write back. I have no idea why they just keep writing and totally ignore the comments their blog gets.
Do you want any comments on your blog?

@Anah
Thanks for the comment. You are not alone in feeling this way - many people are.
Sure why not. I guess we all write to see the outcome of people. I write and expect my seniors to correct me. Comments really encourage me to write more and more.
Thanks for the share Expector Sir.
Thanks Fahime and shubham for the comments!
I think comments can be so encouraging 4 everyone, by reading comments we can reply 2 them and it's another good way 2 practice English or members with writing comments on others' blog can practice English, 2...
So, viva comment... ;-)
HUGE THX 4 UR GREAT BLOG...
Thanks for the nice comment, Bob!
Another good one Expector. We are reading each other's minds. I hope to see everyone get the message that comments are something they can control. If they want them, they only need to give a little to get a little.
You know that comments or not, some of us will continue to write. Whether we collect comments, likes, views or friends (or just want to air some ideas) we write. I have so many drafts saved from blogs I started but put aside: ).
I hope everyone gets the point and gives to others what they hope to get back. Thanks for sending the blog links. You are "SPOT ON" as they say in England.
So, those who liked this blog may want to read this blog: A comment can be more desirable than a blog post.
Hi Lynne,
Thanks so much for the excellent comment - I really enjoyed reading it. I'm glad you're interested in this blog.
Yes, I agree with you that we all need to be encouraged at times, even though you're so strong. It can be so frustrating when you fail to get any comments on your blog post.
By the way, you're one of our oldest members here and I've noticed you've tried to read and comment on blogs by other members - I really appreciate it . Keep it up!
Thanks again!
Dear Expector Smith, (Doctor)
It's good to see this sensible blog again. A very highly motivational blog indeed. Thank you for having the courage to express this for all of us who are silent. ^_^...
I will have to be honest with you that I too was expecting for a remark on my blogs and a little acknowledgement about the comment I posted for a particular blog but, sadly most of the time my expectations are not met. I noticed that nothing has really changed even at present. Little do some members knew that some of the members here (me included) joined this group to gain even a little self-confidence. If one do not have this self-assurance at the time a person joined this group, all the time and effort a member had shared for every one here will just dash his/her hopes. My apology for telling this but I experienced this myself. I felt so frustrated really but I move on and still continue to share what I think is good not only for me but for the other members as well even without the readers' "expression of gratitude" (the thank you) or just the simple "hi" or "hello". I made myself just satisfied enough having in mind my own purpose of joining English Club, and that is purely for advancement. Still, I am here without holding a grudge to anyone because over and above all of the feelings I am keeping with me, I know I still have to be grateful to those members who helped me and gave just the right encouragement I need, (and you are one of them Doctor)... And of course, the very first person I have to thank is Mr. Josef. I am thanking Mr. Josef for all the help he had shared me from the very first hour I joined English Club. I didn't only improve my English language but had improved my computer literacy as well. (I cannot forget the day when I told Mr. Josef that I might destroy his program. Well, up to this day I really don't know if I have destroyed it.)
All what I can say is, thank you to all of you. Had there been no kind members who tirelessly/strongly support us, I guess there is no English Club and My English Club.
Thanks again Doctor.
your MyEC learner,
-Lynne-
Expector Smith,
I will be more than happy to see your comment on my blogs!
