Hello dear friends. In this blog, I'm going to translate two beautiful Persian poems which is written in my profile in Persian, rimed in new-style Persian poetry by two famous Iranian contemporary poets, Hamid Mosadegh (1940 -1998) and Forough Farrokhzad (1935-1967). Actually the first poem is related to H. Mosadegh, and several years later, F. Farokhzad have rimed the second one to reply to H. Mosadegh's poem !!
You laughed at me and didn't know ,,, with how much fear, I stole that apple from the neighbor's garden. ,,, The gardener rushed after me ,,, [and he] saw the apple in your hand. ,,, Furiously looked at me. ,,, The bitten apple fell down on the soil from your hand ,,, and you went, and still ,,, after years in my ears slowly ,,, the sound of your steps repeatedly offends me ,,, and I am thoughtfully sunk in the thought ,,, that why our little garden, didn't have apple !!
Hamid Mosadegh
Later (After several years), F. Farokhzad have replied H. Mosadegh's poem with the following poem:
I laughed at you, because [ I ] knew ,,, with how much fear you stole the apple ! ,,, My father rapidly ran after you ,,, and you didn't know that the gardener of neighboring garden ,,, was my old father. ,,, I laughed at you ,,, to reply your love with my laugh, sincerely. ,,, But the tears in your eyes ,,, made my hands and heart shake. ,,, The bitten apple in my hand, fell down on the soil. ,,, My heart said "go" ! ,,, Because didn't want to memorize ,,, your bitter cry ,,, and I went, and still ,,, after years in my mind slowly ,,, your amazement and tears repeatedly offend me ,,, and I am thoughtfully sunk in the thought ,,, that what would happen if our home garden, didn't have apple !!
Forough Farokhzad
Hope you have liked it
