at the time of reading the blog u have to concern about religion. otherwise u will not catch  the  meaning of them. however, basically i have posted this blog for muslim ppl.

If any muslim buddy defies the Islam by words or conduct , he or she should be punished as the renunciation of Islam is an offence  under Sharia . This can be done either expressly or implicitly. An express renunciation consists , when one denies Islam or is converted from Islam to another religion. If one rejects obvious articles of faith , then implicit renunciation occurs e.g. by denying Prophet Mohammad (s) ‘s mission or asserting that ritual prayer (Salat) or fasting during Ramadan is not obligatory. Saying Apostasy is disrespectful  treatment of copies of Quran such as sitting or treading on them or uttering words such as in the name of God ( Bismill Ah ), while raising a glass of wine.

Distinction between Blasphemy and Apostasy

The borderline concept of blasphemy is near to another offence is Apostasy is abandonment or renunciation of a religion by a person. Many religions movements consider it is a sin , a corruption of the virtue of piety / pours.

on the other hand , blasphemy denotes to something done or said  or published that is disrespectful to God or to something holy.  Brightness it can  incur the distinction between Apostasy and Blasphemy. For constituting  apostasy , requires a person to abdicate or renounce Islam by words or conduct and in case of  blasphemy , it requires a person to disparage or disgrace God or holy entity.

Christianity and Islam

The apostates are excluded by a Christian church in certain circumstances , while some Abrahamic  scriptures demand the death penalty for apostates. The death penalty is applied in some muslim states , not in Christianity or Judaism.  In Islam, punishment for apostasy is death but before the sentence is carried out the accused must be offered  a chance to return to Islam and belief.

In obedience of most  schools , the punishment for apostasy  is death on the basis of following words of Prophet Mohammad (s)  said “ if someone changes his religion , then kill him” (lawful). In order to dispel any circumstance, apostates are granted a delay of three days for reflection and repentance after apostasy has been established in court. If he does not come back to Islam , he is put to death. According to Hanafi law, the delay for repentance is recommended , not obligatory. In Shia law, apostates previously became muslim via of conversion , are entitled to delay of three days for repentance , but not one who was born a muslim. Later can not revoke his apostasy and must be put to death.

Unlike the other schools , shia and hanafi do not regard apostasy as a had offence. Further, they hold death penalty only for male apostates , where as femal apostates must be imprisoned until they repent and be beaten at the hours of ritual prayer ( according to shia) or every third day ( according to the hanafi). Their justification for death penalty that apostates have become envy combatants ( a person or group taking part in war). Since during warfare female  may not be killed, they exempt them from capital punishment.

By  insulting  Prophet Mohammed (s) if apostasy constitutes , according to most schools that apostate is not given any opportunity for repentance, but is killed immediately after the sentence. Same punishment is applied for the Zindiq . an apostate who to all appearances continues to be a muslim. Since , there is no way to ascertain what he really believes, his repentance can not be accepted .

Pakistan

In Saudi Arabia, Yemen as well as Iran, apostasy is still a capital offence. However apostasy does not appear either in Pakistan penal code ( PPC) or the code of Criminal procedure of Pakistan.

The issue of blasphemy and other restriction on freedom of expression in Pakistan consistently gained headlines . the laws of blasphemy can be found in the PPC section xv, and articles 295-298. They observed a number of offences are defiling a place of worship, damaging the Quran what amounts to apostasy. Possible for perpetrators face fines , short – time or life imprisonment  and even death penalty, several individuals have been sentenced for blasphemy , but no one has yet been executed for the crime. The majority of cases of blasphemy filed in Pakistan under Articles 295 or 298 of PPC. There are the most stringent provisions in section xv.

Article 295 –C of the Pakistan Penal Code 1860 provides that  whosever by words either spoken or written , or by visible representation or by any imputation , innuendo , or insinuation, directly or indirectly , defiles the sacred name of the holy Prophet Muhammad ( peach be upon him) shall be punished with death , or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine.

The Federal shariat Court held that , despite the discretion accorded to the trial judge in statute, only punishment for blasphemy is death.  Many cases have been brought under the Blasphemy provisions and convictions obtained what actually constituted the blasphemy is not reported , presumably  because this would be to repeat the blasphemy.

Pakistan’s blasphemy laws foster an environment of intolerance and impunity and lead to violations of a broad range of human rights as well as freedom from arbitrary arrest and detention; the right to due process and a fair trial ; freedom from torture and cruel , inhuman and degrading treatment ; and the right to life and security of the person.

Minority leaders and human rights groups have long criticized the country’s blasphemy laws for being unduly harsh, arguing that they are regularly exploited by extremists to target and discriminate against minority groups, and misused by others to settle petty disputes or exact personal vengeance. In July 2010 , two Christian brothers accused of blasphemy were shot and killed as they were leaving a hearing at a Faisalabad courthouse. There were accused of writing a pamphlet that was critical of the prophet Muhammad (s).

Do not worry about that becoz in this modern world nowadays  that harsh punishment for blasphemy and apostasy  is not being executed in many muslim countries. Asalamualikum
