Anebelee (A story I wrote last Dec. 25, 2008)

Sometime in a cold summer, Anabelee usually take her vacation at her cousin Daphne's farm in Old Road, Mexico City. It was not a typical description and view of what a farm house looks like; a tiled floor and a glass window where the sun's light directed towards the ever pleasing cool sight and relaxing shades of green and blue surrounding the living room.

On every corner, you could see a glass basket full of candies and chocolates. There is also a glass center-table in the living room where a square-sized fish pond is beneath that makes it more tranquilizing whoever may take a sit in a heavenly colored sofa and take the pleasure of being at home.

A melodious song back from the 60s is playing in grandpa's old music player. The wind is in motion as how the rhythm of the music goes on and on making the glass' curtains dance.

Everything seems complete to Anabelee having her closes cousin with her and enjoying the time without hearing her mother's unstoppable scolding-reminder-lines to her and able to stay in the place where she loves most.

One night, they decided to go downstairs to get some mid-night snack while enjoying their lives doing girl stuffs - make-over, fashion dressing to name a few. As they reach the kitchen, Anabelee paused suddenly. She felt a long, slimy, creature crawling up and down in her leg and it is about to wrap around her foot! She could never take a single step; even one! She swallowed her saliva slowly as her heart beats faster. Daphne wondered why her cousin did not take replies in every gab she did. She thought Anabelee was making fun of her taking the advantage that the lights were turned off. As to her doubt, Daphne turned on the light and discovered that Anabelee is been wrapped by a snake! They both screamed and yelled, "snake!". Anabelee's mind boggles so many query - "What am I going to do?!" , "Am I going to die?!" , "Be admitted, perhaps?" , "What?!" Daphne continued screaming and fearlessly telling Anabelee to make a move. At last! Anabelee managed to jump off, screamed aloud and run upstairs.

Still frightened at what happened, Anabelee decided to go down with her cousin in an hour later. They saw the snake enjoying the time roaming around the kitchen. Daphne guided her cousin and instructed further as to how she will defeat her fears on snake. With so much strength and trust in her self, Anabelee manage to capture the snake and fearlessly drop the snake in a bottle and decided to let it go the next morning. Anabelee sighed as her cousin smiled and tapped her shoulder.
