An Old Story of Friendship:
A father and a son were arguing about friendship. Father was viewing that there existed no true friendship as it was in his time. The son was opposing the viewpoint of his father and insisting that the true friendship also existed in his time.
“Ok we should examine this by visiting your friend and mine and put some problem before them to help us out” The father suggested.
“In the middle of night?” The son said hesitatingly.
“Yes this is the exact time to test their friendship!” Said the father, and they both went out.
The son first visited his friend, and asked for some monetary help.
“O, you see at this hour I do not have enough money with me. You should have to wait till the morning rather than coming to me in the middle of night.” The son’s friend replied flatly.
Then they went to father’s friend and knocked at the door, but there was no reply. They knocked again and again, but still there was silence.
“Father, this is your friend, who even doesn’t bother to reply to the knock, my friend at least came out and talked with me, is this true friendship you call?”
The father was also got disappointed and turned to go back, then they heard the door unlocked.
The friend of the father came out having a sword around his shoulder, a bag in his hand and his daughter standing beside him.
“Sorry friend for being late, actually I was making all the preparation I might need to help you. If you need help against any enemy I am well armed to fight with you. If need monetary help here is the bag full of money, or if you want the hand of my daughter in marriage with your son here is my daughter.”
The father turned to his son with tears in his eyes and asked, “What do you say now son?”
“I am sorry father, you were right in your opinion.” The son replied with shame.
“I am sorry friend,” The father turned towards his friend,
“I do not need any help, but thanks a lot for your gesture of true friendship. I just wanted to show my son that I have true friend.”
This is an old story of friendship. May be it feels awkward these days, but it was true in olden times.

Thanks Rose for your time to visit my blog, and the valuable comment.
True friends don't ask about time. They are always there if they are needed. We always may count on them.
Nevertheless, I must smile when I imagined the old friend with a sword, a bag full of money and his daughter next to him, to be prepared for every case.
We would say, the man was ready to give "his last shirt" to his friend.
Thanks for this nice story, Mishaikh.
I always believe in this word "friendnship" and the world of it ;)

A true friend is always there to support us when we are happy or unhappy. It is rarely today... Thanks for the nice story. :)

Nice story. Friendship was stronger in the past. We should seek the reason.
