I have a very annoying and weird habit of correcting people’s pronunciation. Urrrghhh...!!!
If The speaker is a frank friend, I would not think twice before blurting out How awfully they have pronounced a certain word.
If I am speaking to an elder person or a person Who I am not frank with, I’d refrain from correcting them but I keep doing it in my head. Kill me! It roasts my brain cells!! It keeps me from talking and enjoying the conversations. I’d be in a deep conversation with someone & one mispronounced word would be enough for me to get stuck at it.
This habit of mine, roasts my brain cells & breaks the bones of my Stomach.
I am trying to stop tho!
Dear fellow members, do comment below about your annoying habits, if you have any! :P It’s a weird blog! But Have fun reading. :P

Hi, Roman! I guess, (maybe) it’s not as bad. Thank you so much for commenting on my blog. (^_^)
Dearest Mishaikh (Papa), Haha.. Josh Malihabadi’s behavior reminds me of my teacher’s parent’s (To some extent similar) behavior (Who also was my teacher at some point in school) . We once were discussing the origin of Urdu & I as usual were trying (politely) to correct his pronunciation, to say that his Urdu was terrifying & terrible would be an understatement, but he still angrily looked at me and said to me “Humaari Urdu kharab mat karo” (Do not spoil our Urdu). I am glad that at least didn’t kick me out of the class, but chose to leave. :P
Thank you for sharing, Josh Malihabadi’s story with us. ^_^.
Dearest Rose, I am so glad to read your comment on my blog.
Haha.. I behave similarly, I can be very stubborn when I know I am right! :P
Thank you so much for your nice comment.
Hi Warda!
Well, that habit is not so bad :)
There are lots of the worse habits.
I don't know, if I have some bad habits.
Thank you for sharing!
As angry and rigorously as Josh Malihabadi I am not, Mishaikh. Thanks for telling us about him.
Rose - Warda, it is regarding your remarks Rose, "it also makes me angry when people don't correctly use their mother tongue." There was a scholar/poet/prose writer named Josh Malihabadi. He was popularly known as Shayar-e-Inquilab, was an Urdu poet of the era of British India. He is considered top in the list of Urdu literature who uses thousands of high-sounding rich words in his poetry. Born: December 5, 1898, Malihabad, India Died: February 22, 1982, Islamabad, Pakistan :) He used to call "Urdu born in our house". Whenever anybody spoke urdu in wrong accent he got angry and sometime so angry that he asked the person to leave and asked to join him when the guy had learned speaking of Urdu in proper way.
Hahaha, dear Warda, it seems to be more of an idiosyncrasy than a habit. But to be honest, it also makes me angry when people don't correctly use their mother tongue. I can tolerate someone making mistakes in a foreign language, such as English, and for a simple reason, I am not qualified enough to correct because I can't be sure to be right. The only situation in which I correct someone is when someone corrects me, even though I am sure I was 100% right. Then I can be very stubborn ... Lol.
^_^ This is a very fine habit! Not weird at all. A trait that is not easy for many to master. Thank you so very much, Papa for your valuable comment.
Dear Papa, I call it annoying because it gets on my nerves. When people mispronounce certain words. (I only correct people either in Urdu or Arabic)... I refrain from correcting elders because the ones that I know do not appreciate it. XD
You do not care much, Papa. How?
