How many times have you bumped into colorful, weird looking drawings that do not make any sense at the first glance while crossing a street? Honestly, I can't remember. I don't mean those giant words that are either the name of a band or a curse word. I mean real art.
The society calls it graffiti and those who are into this kind of stuff are labeled as vandalists. I neither confirm nor condemn their work. The point is some of these so-called graffitis belong in a museum. If authorities or city councils provide some special places for these artists to express themselves, they won't be called vandalists anymore. Will they?
Are there such places in your city for street artists?

I'm more of a bourbon girl myself.
I know. I was being sarcastic. This is clearly not an occasion for celebrating.
Well, I drink to that.
Mr. Raven, I feel like I made myself clear on that matter. Twice. If I'm not getting through to you I sincerely apologize. There was no intention to use Williams' play in my blog about"real art'. None whatsoever. It was just a play with words. I was feeling silly I guess. FYI, I don't mind constructive criticism and I welcome it with open arms, by the way.
However, the thing is that EC is a website dedicated to those who want to learn English, they are from all over the world, with diffeent cultures and different level of familiarity with the English language. A blogger needs to consider that here, at least that is what I do. It is common sense to have a quick look at the comments to see if nothing is offensive or out of the ordinary, for the sake of those readers. But as I mentioned earlier, everybody is entitled to their opinion. This is what I do and I stand by that. Discussion section does not have this feature,so anyone who wants to expres themselves freely are welcomed there.
Everybody is entitled to their opinion.
Cute.
There is no connection to the play per se, only the title, streetcar, streetart.
Desire, a negative notion, vandalism instead of graffiti, also a negative one.
Good to know, thanks.
Dear A 738, wow what a great paintings. They are so beautiful. In my city there is no such a place. We have some paintings but they paint whatever they were told to paint not their own paintings.
