I have posted three farewell letters with the aim to give language knowledge in a particular perspective. I found that some of my friends have mixed the letter of farewell with the resignation letter. I am, therefore, posting here under a formal letter of resignation just to abreast the learners of the language with ‘how a normal letter of resignation is written’. After having read this, the readers will be able to differentiate the two letters, “letter of resignation’ and the “farewell letter’:

I would like to inform you that I have come across with an opportunity, and I have accepted the challenge for my growth and expand the vastness of experience in career in abroad. I, therefore, hereby tendering my resignation from the position of Sales Officer, with effect from 19th October, 2016.
This wasn’t an easy decision, because I have always been grateful for being rewarded an employment with this organization. But after a long consideration I have reached to the final decision and would request you to kindly accept my resignation and relieve me on the date mentioned above.
I would appreciate if my full and final settlement is arranged by the said date.
I would also like to express my thanks to provide all the chances to have professional development in my field. I have enjoyed working and will miss all of my colleagues.

You wanted to make us understand the difference between two letters...I understand it clearly, but my concern is both letters should be written in positively, it is just my own opinion.
