I hope you will enjoy below story and I want to hear yours.Ann was having a trip in a small town somewhere in the central part of Taiwan. She stayed in a 10-storey hotel. It is a twenty years old building. The room is big and strangely empty with just few dim lights, a brown sofa and a small fridge. The room is also smelly and dusty. However, there is no complaint because you cannot find anything that is better than this in this small town. It is a day before the Chinese Halloween when she arrived at the hotel; and it was 7 o’clock in the evening. She went to a public market that is very close to the hotel and bought something to eat. When she came back to the hotel, she could still hear people chatting loudly in the market through the windows. It was the Chinese Halloween the next day; she finished work in late afternoon and on her way back to the hotel. She saw lot of people were doing the ancestor worships i.e. burning ghost money and all kind of stuffs to please the visiting ghosts and spirits. She felt hungry and she stopped by the market and wanted to get some food. Finally, she decided to go back to the hotel to do a conference call before go for eating. It was 9 o’clock by the time she finished the call and all her work. She went out for food. All the lights went off; it was dark and quiet. There was no noise at all except dogs barking. All the restaurants are closed. She walked a few blocks and could not find any convenience store. She suddenly remembered there was warned ghosts would wander on the streets at night on Chinese Halloween and people should stay indoor. She was terrified and went back to the hotel immediately. Unfortunately, the hotel did not provide any room service; she was starving. The TV programs were showing Halloween specials or interviews of people who claim they encountered ghosts. She cannot sleep because of the empty stomach and stayed awake the whole night. What she can do is watching the TV and drink water. The tragedy is she still had to work next day.
