A dress represents an identity to men and women. Different cultures, have different interpretations for that matter. Little girls love to dress up especially on important occasions like birthdays or holidays. We sometimes see in movies how leading men dropped their jaws when they glared at their leading ladies while wearing a stylish outfit.
How about a red dress? I noticed, a lot of women around the globe prefer to wear red dresses. Female celebrities flashingly posed in font of the camera for us to astonish and to admire them. It's also evident in international and local pageants. Ms. Jimena Navarette of Mexico was wearing a beautiful red gown when she was crowned Miss Universe 2010. According to her, she chose to wear that dress in celebration of her country's Independence Day. Miss World 2011 1st runner-up, Gwendolyn Ruais from my country, the Philippines, also wore a gorgeous red gown during the coronation night which was held in Earls Court, London. On Rajesh's blog, Chhath Puja, I saw women wearing colorful dresses while participating on that important festival in India. These are some occasions that made me curious why women desire to wear such splendid clothing creations.

I think, wearing beautiful clothes gives confidence to people especially to women. It also shows how a lady can be creative to mix and match her clothes to her accessories. A trendy fashion indeed!
So, whatever clothes we wear, be it a glamorous dress or a casual outfit, it's important to project a great attitude to our friends, co-workers, and to the people around us. Because we're more likely be judged not on clothes we're wearing, but on how we carry ourselves in our day to day living.
In your own opinion, why does a red dress appealing to women? I'll be glad to hear it from you. : )

Helloooo Robbie.
How are you friend??
Thanks for the nice blog. I enjoyed reading the blog and the comments :).
Well, I agree with Valentine that ladies looks great in elegant dresses regardless of the color ^_*.
But red dresses have a glowing effect espically on fair skin. For me I don't think it's the best color to wear, I have a dark skin color :)
I love blue too. I wore a nice light blue dress on my sister wedding. Also in Sudan red has a special value in our culture.
After the wedding where the bride wear a white dress, there is a Sudanese tradition called "Jerrtik" the bride should wear a traditional Sudanese red "tob". Here is a photo shows the outfits of the bride and the groom in the Jerrtik. By the way this Sudanese bride is married to a foreigner groom :)
Hi Valentine,
Thank you for sharing your ideas about this blog. I learned something from your response. I agree with you, women can be beautiful as long as they stay positive and determined. Have a pleasant week. Take care : )
Hi Farid,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this blog. I agree, a lot of women like red clothes. Maybe because of its characteristics. What color do you prefer? I love blue a lot he he he... : )
Hi once again Arif,
Thanks for sharing a photo of what a groom looks like in Pakistan. The design of his dress looks sophisticated. Have you worn such kind of a dress? : )
Hi Robbie!
In my native language the word "red" means "beautiful". The red colour attracts an attention at once, so bright, especially now when people prefer wearing clothes "practical colours". I think women always look beautiful and feminine in a dress regardless of a colour.
Why? Looking at this picture, it looks like deja vu...
Hello Junko,
Oh so glad to hear your response. Actually, I'm having fun reading your comments. I hope too that Arif will show his true self he he he. Thank you for dropping by and for reading my blog. : )

Hi Arif,
Glad to have you back in MyEC. Thank you for your comment. So a red dress is also wear during a wedding in your country, I bet she must have been pretty with that gown. Lol! : )
Hi Robie, this is a great topic. I don't think that you can notice much about women's clothes, even me. But you are right. Many women are more and more beautiful and glamorous when they wear a red dress. And i also like wearing a long red dress and i wear them on important occations like The New Year, Fastival or the friend's Wedding. In Vietnam, brides usually wear a long red dress on their Wedding, too. There are many reasons behind it but one thing they want is happy and lucky will come in their life. And on the first day of New Year, all litter girls and women wear long red dress welcom new year. They hope happy, healthy and successful come on.
I am, too. I love wearing a red dress but sometimes i wear it because looking at me to stand out of from a crow so i feel not confident (that is really strange).
I will send to you some pictures about Vietnamese's women wearing a long red dress.
