Dear friends,
I have written a story by myself. Here, I want to brainstorm you with an idea. Could you please tell us the morals of this story from your perspective?
The sky was dozing off. After yawning and stretching its arms for a few minutes, the sleepy sky started wearing its nightgown, and the stars were turning up one next to another. One of the stars saw a mass around which was a lot bigger and shinier. Looking at that full round bright mass, the star kept silent for a while; and then, decided to strike up a quarrel with that.
“What is your name?”, the star asked egotistically. The star waited for few minutes and got no reply or attention. The star looked at shining mass with fiery wrath and repeated the question with a louder voice.
The big star took a look at the small star gently and replied:” I’m sorry. I did not notice such a small star. You asked about my name, right? I am the moon- the brightest star in the sky that dazzles the eyes of every beholder. I shed the gleams of light on the sky and small stars like you when it is pitch black.”
The star was too furious at the moon and replied back :”It is stars that twinkle at night and beautify the sky.”
The moon and star had a long crazy argument all over the night trying to brag about their own superiority. Eventually, the sky which was watching them regretfully all the night was fed up with all the racquet and decided to take off sleep gown. The sky started wearing its daytime clothes that a shinier smiley star appeared with so much elegance. All the noises shut up all of a sudden, and there was no darkness and gloom anywhere. The moon and stars were gone all.

Dear mitran,
How about I beg for your apology ? Would you forgive me? hahaha
You know, in a quarrel, two sides are like competitors who are standing at two sides of a rope and pulling it. each of them is trying hard to defeat the other side by pulling the rope faster and faster. The only solution to stop this game is that one of them should give up.
Am I right?
Dear Narin,
Thanks for participating in this discussion. You pointed to the important points dear. In order to be a pious person, one of the most crucial necessity is to believe that you are not the actual owner of the things God has provided you with them. In fact, God is the owner of everything in this world. As this poem says:
"در حقیقت مالک اصلی خداست / این امانت بهر روزی دست ماست"
It's quite rude to be arrogant while we are not actual owners in this world.
If we come to believe that this world is a transient place and we are like passengers we will be less arrogant.
Dear Eman,
You are absolutely right. We weigh the value of everything through comparing them with their opposites.
As to dear noaslpls comment:
“Everyone in this world has their own role to play and deliver, no matter how big or small they are. “
(You as well as dear setareh and ELF Noor looked at the story from a very different angle dear noaslpls. It’s really great)
God has created any of us as a unique creature who has their own skills, abilities, and talents. We are unique and we cannot find anyone who is similar to us. Therefore, according to the characteristics and traits God has bestowed upon us, we have different responsibilities and missions in this world. We should cherish ourselves, and try to discover our strengths as well as flaws and weaknesses. We should discover our missions and move towards them.
I’d like to make an analogy and elaborate on this theme this way. Suppose a symphony orchestra in which a group of instrumentalist are playing their own instruments such as trumpet, piano, saxophone, guitar, violin, and etc on the stage. If any of the musicians play out of their own instrument, the symphony will be unsuccessful.
To make the long story short, life is like a stage. We should do our best to play our own music pretty well in this world.
Here, I’d like to refer to a saying in dear A738a's blog:
“BEING SUCCESSFUL MEANS SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO EACH PERSON.... RESPECT THAT.”
Dear noaslpls also said:
“Don't take too much pride in our accomplishment, because at the end of the day, someone else may be better than us.”
Yes. We should accept that there are always some people who excel us.
Dear setareh and ELF Noor
You are right. I will explain your valuable points of view in the next comment. Thanks for stopping by.
As dear Peach Pit wrote:
The main theme of this story is about narcissism or egoism. She also added beautifully: "In an ant colony, dew is a flood".
Egoism caused the moon and star run into an argument. Egoism and narcissism can be a major threat to our unity and sincerity. According to her ideas, if someone likes to live in peace, particularly those who are in higher positions rather than ordinary people, they should be humble. All of us know that jealousy is a common trait among humans. However, some people are more jealous and some are less. It’s said that the people who are inferior are more jealous and those who are superior (by superior I mean those who have more accomplishments) are less jealous. Though, this is not a rule that can be generalized to all of the people and can be opposite in some cases. Anyway, if a person wants to live peacefully, S/he should be more humble towards others. Here, I want to attribute one more tip to this story.
“We should treat people the way that we like to be treated." Because people usually treat us the way we treat them. If we want to be treated with respect, we should respect people. We are humans and we have mutual interactions. We can’t behave badly and expect to be treated respectfully.
Dear Mishaikh,
You have written about the morals of this story pretty well. Good job indeed.
I just came up with an idea. I'd like to point to some of the tips our friends have shared with us one by one and explain them. Our friends and you can also add your great thoughts with us.
