“Mickey, come out and join us!” Sitting beside the window of the library, I was reading a novel, when suddenly a call came, on the other side of the phone, some lovely girls said this to me excitingly.
“Um…but I haven’t finished my novel…” Actually I was swayed, to go or not to go? After a short struggle in my brain, I decided to join the lovely girls in the lovely playground. Quick as thought, I almost popped myself out of the library in a minute. Upon arriving there, I saw the girls flying a pretty kite joyfully, my heart beat soon quickened, and I ran to them as fast as I could.
Taking over the kite, I ran slowly with it, as I can say, it was really a lovely day for flying a kite. Sitting on the wind, the kite flew higher and higher. I was quite proud of my skill, and felt very excited. After a while, I became tired and sweaters were filled with my face all over. So I wanted to take off my coat and take out my handkerchief, then I passed the kite on to one girl. Maybe I was in a hurry, or she was too slow, before she caught the string, the wind did faster. Out of a thought, I threw my coat to her, and ran to catch the kite, leaving the girls behind crying “Mickey, leave it, you can’t catch it, let’s buy a new one!”
I kept running after the kite, with the thought I wanted it back, I wanted to win the wind. I even forgot the tiredness. God helps those who help themselves, finally I got it back from the wind, and won their praise and applause. Lucky me!
Now, sitting before my laptop writing this entry, I still feel excited and happy, and I understand another truth, that is, try as you want, you’ll never know if you never try and there is a surprise waiting there after your pay.
