You are right, Grace. The squirrel looked hungry and was wondering if I had any food he could get. That's why he was watching me. Unfortunately I had nothing to give. So, he gave up on me and ran away T_T
The picture was taken in the summer, when squirrels are relatively thin. Right now, they look chubby because they are eating a lot to prepare for the harsh winter here.
Your squirrel friend is also very cute, I like it. But it's a little thin, did you give him some food? He looks hungry.
They are not tame, they are wildlife living in that forest. We gave them a lot of snacks we brought from home so they did quite enjoy their meal then gave us the good reward of taking their photos so easily.

I know Taiwanese squirrels live in some areas of Japan. They are adorable. You took the picture very close from the squirrel. Are they tame? Did you give it snacks?
