Hello friends, How are you doing? I hope that all of you must be doing very well. ^_^

Today, I've come up with a very strange problem. I've been facing this problem since I've joined MyEC or more accurately I'm facing it since I've started to write in English. I want to know that am I the only one who's facing this problem or some of you also have experienced this annoying problem, If yes then may be some of you know how to tackle it. ^_^

So here's my problem :

On certain days (I would like to call such a day "a bad English day" like a "a bad hair day" because on these bad English days, my English writing annoys me in the very same way as on certain days bad hair annoy us) while commenting on some blogs or writing a message for a friend of mine, I suddenly realize that I can't write even a single sentence correctly. I feel like I don't know any grammar, any vocabulary. I literally erase and re-write sentences millions of times but still can't write a satisfactory comment. On the other days I don't feel any such thing and write anything I want to write in a single go(that doesn't mean that on such days my English is flawless; however, I don't feel any such feeling  while writing).

Whenever I come across/go through a bad English day, I feel very annoyed, helpless and disappointed. Some times I just want to give up my English learning.

So tell me friends, do you also experience a bad English day while learning just like me? Or I'm the only weird creature here? If yes, does anyone knows its solution?

Please tell me, I'm waiting for your replies! ^_^

Thanks a lot for reading my blog. (And I hope, you people would tell me about all my mistakes. i.e. Grammar, spelling, punctuation etc. I'll be extremely thankful to you.).

  • @ Anele,

We know that you're busy that's why you're not as active in MyEC as you were before. Everybody has a life, a real life, outside MyEC and it would be stupid to complain that why they weren't around or why they replied so late. And the good thing about you that you always try to compensate for the time when you aren't around. We all appreciate that and we treasure your friendship. It's difficult to find a true friend nowadays and we are really lucky to have a true friend like you.

  • @ Luai Ali,

Yeah, you're right. We can't learn without making mistakes. And you're better than me if you don't worry like me. That's really good. I'm just like you because I'm also learning English myself without having guidance from a teacher but I'm afraid of making mistakes unlike you. By looking at your patience I can bet than one day you'd become a fluent English speaker. Good luck for you!

And you're right that here in MyEC our friends help us and correct our mistakes.

  • @ Zahra .M, thanks for your comment.

Our MyEC friends have come up with very nice advice. Read their comments here and then you would also feel relieved just like me.

  • @ Anastasia, Thanks a lot for passing by.

Thanks for your kind and encouraging words. I will try my best to remain patient when ever I would come across a bad English day again.

    Have a good day!

  • @ Nafis, thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog.

You're right dear friend. Now I'm also feeling that it's normal as everybody has come up with the same problem. Your advice is very nice and I would do the same whenever I would again come across such kind of feelings.

    Take care!

  • @ Mohyie, thanks a billion for your wonderful comment!

I was worried because I thought I'm the only one who is suffering from this problem. However, after reading all the comments I agree with you that it's indeed a joint problem and all the learners face it at one time or other.

You know, how encouraging is your comment for me? I'm so thankful to you for such a detailed, encouraging, supportive and thoughtful comment. You're right that we learners are just like the babies who fall and get up then again fall and get up but they never give until they are able to walk properly.

Thanks a lot for your valuable advice. I'm actually very afraid of the making mistakes and I can't get rid of my fear. I feel really scared while using new words. I'm always thinking  what others would think when they would read my comment or blog. They would say she doesn't know how to use these words properly but still she uses them. Even though I'm fully aware of the fact that almost everybody here is a learner themselves just like me and they won't laugh at me if I would make a mistake but still this fear haunts me whenever I try to write anything.

I always re-read things that I write whether it be a comment or a blog and I always try to do my best to seek advice on my writing from those who have knowledge of the language. And I'm taking your advice and I would try use new words, in fact I would try to play with the words.

You're very right that if we would keep writing we will gain more confidence and we would be able to express our thoughts more easily.

Thanks again for replying to my question.

P.S. I've read so many of your comments which you write for different blogs and they are always wonderful. I wonder that you still think that you lack harmony between your mind and your fingers while writing. You indeed write very well. May be it's because as you said that it's a sign of improving and someone who writes well does become satisfied with their writing. ^_^

  • @ Notears,

If I'm really a WOWLY friend then it's only because of the friends like you. Thank you again for being such a WOW friend!!! 1188059303229.gif

  • @ Grace, first of all thanks a lot for dropping by.

It happens with me too when I study English for many hours, in fact it happens if one studies virtually anything (regardless of subject) for an extended period of time without taking enough breaks at proper intervals. However, in my blog I've mentioned about certain days when I couldn't write well despite of not being tired. What I think that my problem has nothing to do spending too much timing studying because it could happen at the very beginning of a learning day.

However, I really appreciate your comment and advice because at certain days when I study for hours and then become tired and couldn't understand anymore, for such a situation your advice is really useful. In fact I take breaks when I can't handle learning anymore.

Thanks again for commenting and your advice.

  • It happens - one of those days! The same here - sometimes 'words fail me'. I just don't feel like writing at times. It dosen't matter, and you bet you know the next day everything will be OK again. Just wait for it to pass by - you've got a new day waiting for you!
