Crushed Slang

Today English Club tells us that crush is a slang word.

I hope you all know what the real meaning of crush is. It means to break or smash something in to very small pieces. Sometimes local governments (city, county, state) or building companies will crush rock into small pieces to use for material in building new roads. And if you have some crushed ice, you can make a snow cone!!! (What is a snow cone?)

Sometimes crush can be used in a negative sense, like defeat. Remember when Manchester United

Career Goal: You need to have a clear understanding of what you want to do with your career -- and how earning a graduate degree will help you reach that goal. If you have any doubt at all about your professional goals, consider putting off graduate school and, instead, spend some time working on some self-assessment and career planning. If you go to graduate school without a clear goal, you will probably end up wasting both time and money.

Internet Scams

The internet has become the venue for 'scammers' to execute their evil plans. This usually happens in the on-line dating websites. Bogus pictures of men and women are used to entice their victims. These pictures are often attractive ones taken from different persons on google. They attach their fake names and start chatting to their fortune away. And there are different ways that these people scam.

The most common scam is the love scam as they call. As mentioned earlier, these men and women post

Expector: Hi Swift. How's the weather in Sanya?

Swift: Hi Expector. It's sunny and warm as always here. It must be a freezing cold day in Changchun?

Expector: Yeah, it's minus twenty-five according to the forecast. It's sunny but so chilly. We just experienced a terrible blizzard.

Swift: Blizzard? I hope it didn't cause any damage to you. You must be used to it - every winter there are so many blizzards in the northeast.

Expector: We don't really care so much about it, but I don't think it's a good

Hello Everyone,

I passed my MA (Masters) degree, which I'm very pleased about. I don't graduate until April. The first week in April is going to be a very busy week: I will graduate on the 1st, it is the Christian festival of Easter in the same week, Good Friday is on the 3rd and Easter Sunday is on the 5th, to top it all, my birthday is on the 4th - what a week that will be!

So what next?
I'm considering studying for a Ph.D. (Doctorate - or Doctor of Philosophy). I have plenty of ideas of what I w

This blog is a reply to all those who keep asking why I do not go into relationships. Even at the age of 22, I am single. And when this will end?

Well to put it simple, I was not mentally ready for this stuff. One fundamental difference in my perception regarding to it, that created to my isolation was that girlfriends or commitment brings a responsibility, which is different from the aura that is maintained today.  A general perception of guys is that, they take girls in for granted and as an op

Wanted!!!

What especially fascinates me in English, it is those short phrases of rhyming words, like "from zero to hero". I have decided to make a collection of them with the help of EC members. Here are the ones that I know:

1. Rumour with humour

2. As you sow you shall mow

3.Zip your lip

My dear friends, you are welcome with your contributions!!

Welcome to This World!!!

I dedicate this blog to one of the EC members and my friends who has recently become a father.

So the miracle happened at last. The baby is born!!
Isn’t it wonderful that with all the modern technology we still can’t choose what it will look like and be like?
It is a girl, a tiny girl with such tiny gentle fingers that it makes you afraid to touch them. She’s made all around realize how big they are, and the happy girl of school age, till this moment the youngest and the smallest in the family,

Writing Challenge: Weather Chat

2346995935?profile=originalHow's the weather today? This is the first line of Jonathan Taylor's new Weather Song.

When it comes to small talk, the weather is a popular subject for Canadians. For example, I talk about the weather with our crossing guard every morning. We only have a few seconds to chat before the traffic light changes. This gives us just enough time to comment on the weather.

Talking about the weather is a good way to break the ice when you meet someone new or when you're at the beginning of a conversation.

Copy pasting someone else’s work and posting it as your own is just like stealing as you cannot take someone’s work without giving due credit to the actual resource.

The internet has made it very easy to check plagiarism conveniently by just a few clicks as the increase in web usage and information is giving way to more and more plagiarism. Plag
