  • NotAclue, believe me, it's heavy book. lol

Fizzy, what book do you read? hmm, thank you for your encouragement. D D

Mishaikh, Is "Inheritance" a novel? I cannot still, The book I mean is serious book. D D

  • @Mary : Hi, Thanks for the recommendation. I might check it out later.  I read most of Aesop books ^^

  • Uhm, well, a way to help you to reach your goal is suggesting you short novels or reading material (that not for being short is less interesting)

I love short stories and one of my favorite writers is Raymond Carver. If you like stories of ordinary people going through lot of personal sh*t, that's your guy.

Another thing you can do is to read plays (theatre). They are usually short and dialogues make them fast to read. I don't really read much plays but I love the ones by Oscar Wilde (hilarious) and Tennessee Williams (again, stories about ppl trying to face their demons)

Comic books or graphic novels are also fast to read. Thery are like novels but they just tell stories with the comic language. One of my favorite authors here is Daniel Clowes, but well... his stories are very dark and depressing, so it's not good to read them if you're having a bad day :P   I also loved to read MAUS by Art Spiegelman; it's already a classic (when I read it I didn't even know it was the first graphic novel to win a Pulitzer Prize. This proofs that graphic novels are not just 'drawings')

And last but not least, books fast to read are children's book or folk tales. People usually tend to underestimate tales, but that's maybe 'cause they never noticed or analized what's behind all the classic tales and authors. One of my most favorite books of all times is 'Alice in Wonderland'. It's crazy and the language there is amazing. Another 'must-read' is 'The little Prince' by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It's a classic and you can read it in less than 1hour. And there're all the classics by Perrault, Hans Christian Andersen, Oscar Wilde, the Grimm brothers, the Aesop's fables... Just with this you can reach the number of 200 in no time, and you will have read must-read classics that everyone should read at least once in their lives ;)

Good luck with your reading challenge. Let us know when you finish with the list of your faves!

  • Onee!

I have read recently Inheritance 849 pages.  It is not a big deal if you are a bookaholic.

  •    That's  great  :)

  • Hello, Fizzy. I like reading books, too. I read English books for children because I can't read difficult ones much. However they are interesting. Have you read "The Story of Doctor Dolittle" and "The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle"? Though they were published about 100 years ago and for children, they are interesting.
