George R.R. Martin is not just an ordinary writer, he is one of the best aside from the fact that he is the man behind the successful "Game of Thrones". His books does have that kind of unique approach that will make every reader begging for more.

If any of you are a fan of "Game of Thrones" (of course I have to include myself) it would be obvious that he focus mostly on the moral ambiguity. The idea of having no heroes or villains that exist as well as mainly believing on the nature of people who do good things and bad things is enough reason for readers to ponder.

Here are 15 inspirational quotes that came from various books of George R.R. Martin.

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.”

“Fear cuts deeper than swords.”

“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness.”

“The things we love destroy us every time, lad. Remember that.”

“Why is it that when one man builds a wall, the next man immediately needs to know what's on the other side?”

“It is one thing to be clever and another to be wise.”

“We all need to be mocked from time to time, lest we take ourselves too seriously.

“The common people pray for rain, healthy children and a summer that never ends. It is no matter to them if the high lords play their game of thrones, so long as they are left in peace.”

“I rose too high, loved too hard, dared too much. I tried to grasp a star, overreached, and fell.”

“The heart lies and the head plays tricks on us, but the eyes see true. Look with your eyes. Hear with your ears. Taste with your mouth. Smell with your nose. Feel with your skin. Then comes the thinking, afterward, and in a way knowing the truth.”

“A lord must learn that sometimes words can accomplish what swords cannot.”

“Opening your eyes is all that is needing. The heart lies and the head plays tricks with us, but the eyes see true. Look with your eyes. Hear with your ears. Taste with your mouth. Smell with your nose. Feel with your skin. Then comes the thinking, afterward, and in that way knowing the truth.”

“Words are wind.”

“The unseen enemy is always the most fearsome.”

“Only lies offend me, never honest counsel.”
